Collection: Framed Cabinets

Here at Osborne and Dermody we have 4 cabinet lines that produce framed cabinetry.

Framed cabinets have been around for a long time and are the traditional way of making cabinets here in the USA.  What makes a framed cabinet a framed cabinet is a face frame that gets added to the front box of the cabinet, the hinges of the cabinet door get attached to this face frame, you can choose full overlay, inset, or partial overlay door styles with this type of cabinet.

There are some things to note with this type of cabinet:

-One of the advantages of a framed cabinet is that the hinges mount on the face frame and if there is something that needs to be repaired it is a lot easier to fix than on a frameless cabinet where the hinges go into the cabinet box.

-In framed cabinets you loose a small amount of size in the drawer boxes because the face frame is 1 1/2" on each side.  You will have a small lip going around the openings of wall cabinets and base cabinets with doors.

-Sometimes in cabinet sizes over 36" you will have a center style going through the middle of the cabinet for support.

All the cabinet lines we offer have standard wood dovetailed full extension drawer boxes and standard soft close doors and drawers.  We can also do custom colors.
